Shayan Ali is a qualified market technician and financial educator with over a decade of hands-on experience in international financial markets. He has earned the CFTe (Certified Financial Technician) certification from the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA, USA) and has successfully completed all three levels of the CMT (Chartered Market Technician) program—globally regarded as the gold standard in technical analysis—offered by the CMT Association, USA, with his official charter currently pending. He also holds the CBC (Commodity Brokers Certification) issued by the Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan (IFMP). Shayan served as a Technical Analyst at the Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) from 2009 to 2014. In 2013, he became the first Pakistani to author an Urdu-language book on Futures Trading, published by PMEX — making a significant contribution to financial literacy in Pakistan. Shayan has conducted specialized technical analysis and trading strategy trainings for various Regulated Financial Brokers*. His unique combination of professional credentials, market experience, and a commitment to education makes him an exceptional trainer for PMEX traders, Gold investors, and trading professionals.

The dictionary has been authored by Shayan Ali, founder of CITA - Capital Institute of Technical Analysis (Previously known as Bullion Research Center). This initiative comes at a crucial time when commodity futures trading is gaining popularity, yet remains misunderstood by a large segment of the population due to complex financial jargon and the dominance of English in trading literature.
The publication of this Urdu dictionary addresses a critical gap in accessibility. For the first time, traders who are more comfortable with Urdu than English can now explore futures trading concepts in their native language, without the intimidation of technical jargon. The dictionary covers a wide range of terms including margin, leverage, hedging, contract specifications, settlement processes, and more — explained in simple, practical language.
This initiative is more than just a reference tool — it’s a foundational step in democratizing financial knowledge in Pakistan. As futures and commodities continue to become more integrated into mainstream investment strategies, this dictionary serves as a bridge between the traditional investor and the modern trading ecosystem.
